How payouts are requested, what gets paid, what can delay or hold a payout, and how Live changes the payout mechanics.
How payouts work
How do payouts work?
Once eligible, submit a request; ordinary account, cash, identity and drawdown checks still apply. Pro also has a funded profit-to-risk check. Before each funded payout, earn new net trading profit of at least 15% of your largest simultaneous assessed portfolio maximum loss in that payout cycle. This is a qualification requirement, not a deduction from profit. Only a paid payout starts a new cycle; rejected or cancelled requests do not reset your progress. The 80% share is unchanged; this requirement is not a fee or deduction.
What is the profit split?
80%. That is your share, and the firm keeps the rest.
When will I receive my payout?
You can request once all your funded payout conditions are met. For Strix Pro, 8 qualifying winning days need not be consecutive; the floors are $200 on a $100K, $150 on a $50K, $100 on a $25K or $10K, measured on realized profit before trading fees. Only a paid payout starts the next cycle, anchored at that request's snapshot. Pending, rejected and cancelled requests reset neither the days nor peak assessed risk. If paid, trading after that snapshot belongs to the next cycle. The check can require additional profit and time; a payout date is not guaranteed.
Do you pay out my account profit or only what I withdraw?
No balance moves on its own. You are paid the payouts you request and that clear, and a single payout can draw up to 50% of profits, limited further by the cap attached to that payout number.
When is my payout deducted from my account balance?
The withdrawal comes out of your trading account when the payout is actually paid, at the same moment the money is sent. A request that is still pending, or approved but not yet sent, has not been deducted.
Why can I not request another payout right after being paid?
Each funded payout cycle must meet its own qualifying-day, balance, minimum and cap requirements. 8 qualifying winning days are required before each funded payout. A qualifying day closes with realized profit at or above the size floor: $200 on a $100K, $150 on a $50K, $100 on a $25K or $10K. They do not have to be consecutive. Losing, flat and smaller green days keep the days already earned. Strix and Express start a new cycle when a payout is paid or rejected; cancelling a request does not reset it. Pro starts a new cycle only when a payout is paid; pending, rejected and cancelled requests keep progress. Minimums, caps and balance requirements also apply. Your Payouts page shows your progress.

What is the "payout balance rule"?
Once you have taken your first payout, your balance at request time must sit at least $1 above the balance you last requested a payout at, less any amount your payout cap prevented you from taking, up to the size of that payout. Example: if you requested payout one at a balance of $52,000 and your payout cap did not limit it, your balance at your next request must be $52,001 or higher.
Review and holds
What can delay or reject a payout?
A rule question on the account, missing KYC or tax paperwork, or mismatched payout details can each slow things down or lead to a rejection.
Can my payout be held for review?
It can. Compliance checks, KYC, tax verification, and payment risk reviews are each grounds to hold a payout.
My approved payout has not arrived. What should I do?
Approved payouts typically clear within a few business days, sometimes faster. If it has been longer, contact support with your payout ID and approval date. Bank delays are common at month-end.
Can I change my payout method or receiving details between requests?
Yes. You are paid by ACH or wire transfer (international wire for traders outside the US), sent from our bank account. Your receiving details are set up through a secure email sent after a payout is approved, not on your dashboard. Mercury sends it on our behalf, from hello@mercury.com, so update your details there before your next request. Changes to a payout that is already being processed are not supported.
My payout details did not match my KYC. What happens?
The payment can be held until your details are reconciled. The name on your receiving account must match the name on your verified ID. Update your details through the secure email Mercury sends on our behalf from hello@mercury.com, then contact support so the hold can be reviewed.
Can I request a payout while traveling internationally?
Yes. Eligibility is based on account state, not your location. Some banking corridors may delay clearing; check that your destination bank supports inbound transfers.
My payout was rejected because of a rule violation. Can I appeal?
You can ask for a review by replying to the rejection email. We re-check the rule against the account log; if the rule did fire, the rejection stands.
