For traders who want a one time evaluation purchase without monthly evaluation renewals, Strix Options Funding is our preferred choice over TradeFundrr PreProp. For supported spreads, Strix Pro 25K costs $398 for a new evaluation, with no activation fee or Funded subscription. TradeFundrr PreProp costs $599 upfront plus $99 monthly, and that subscription continues after promotion. This compares evaluation entry at the same advertised 25K size for supported strategies, not the cheapest long options plan against a spread capable program.[1] [2] [4]
Strix Options Funding also permits overnight positions subject to its expiry and forced close schedule, while TradeFundrr PreProp and Prop prohibit swing positions. Current Strix Options Funding evaluations have no minimum trading days, no daily profit concentration cap and no deadline. Those are evaluation benefits, not a promise of immediate payout: Funded qualifying days, payout limits and, for Strix Pro, an additional 15% profit qualification still apply.[2] [4] [5]
This comparison was prepared for Strix Options Funding using public documentation checked on November 2, 2026. It covers new options program purchases, not TradeFundrr stock or futures plans. It is a brand comparison, not independent platform testing or an independently verified payout record. Our recommendation is for traders who prioritize these features, not a claim that one program is universally best.
Know what each program actually provides
Strix Options Funding Evaluation and Funded accounts are simulated. Evaluation fees purchase assessment and educational services, not trading capital. Funded payments are discretionary performance rewards under the terms, rather than withdrawals of brokerage trading profit. A separate Live stage requires discretionary admission and a signed agreement, with firm capital in the firm's brokerage subaccount.[3]
TradeFundrr PreProp and Prop accounts are also fully simulated. PreProp requires an evaluation before promotion. Direct Prop skips that evaluation, but does not skip payout or risk requirements. Neither requires traders to repay simulated trading losses, although program and monthly fees still apply.[4] [5]
TradeFundrr Pro is a separate program under separate trading company agreements. Its direct application advertises capital contributions starting at $100,000 and leverage up to 20 times, subject to individual review. That contribution is capital at risk, not a $100,000 evaluation fee. Its advertised buying power is not equivalent to a simulated account balance. Comparing that contribution with an evaluation purchase would not be a like for like comparison.[14] [15]
Strix Pro 25K: $398 without monthly evaluation renewals
For supported spreads, compare Strix Pro 25K with TradeFundrr PreProp, not the cheaper Strix or Express plans. Strix Pro 25K costs $398 for a new evaluation, with no activation fee or Funded subscription. The absence of evaluation renewal charges makes it the stronger choice for traders who want time to complete an evaluation without a recurring monthly bill.[1] [2]
TradeFundrr's relevant PreProp and Prop options plans both provide $25,000 in buying power. PreProp costs $599 once plus $99 monthly. Promotion adds no program fee, but the subscription continues. Direct Prop costs $1,499 once plus $99 monthly. The subscription includes TradeFundrr Trader by DX, live data and account services.[4] [5]
With one monthly charge, PreProp totals $698 and direct Prop totals $1,598, compared with the $398 Strix Pro 25K evaluation purchase. PreProp is the closer evaluation entry comparison for supported spreads. Direct Prop buys a different starting stage because it skips evaluation, so its higher fee should not be presented as the price of an equivalent evaluation.[1] [2] [4] [5]
For single leg long calls and puts, Strix 25K costs $299, with a separate $89 activation charge if advanced to Funded. Express 25K costs $179 plus that same activation charge. Their combined evaluation and activation costs are $388 and $268 respectively. Current Strix Options Funding evaluations have no renewal charge or deadline. Neither of these cheaper plans permits an opening short leg; spread traders need Strix Pro.[1] [2]
Do not subtract a future TradeFundrr fee rebate from a new purchase. Its current Fee Refund Policy says the offer ended for Prop accounts bought on or after October 26, 2026. The legal terms confirm that restriction, despite refund language remaining on the options comparison page.[7] [8]
No evaluation minimum days or daily profit concentration cap
Current Strix Options Funding evaluations have no minimum trading days or daily profit concentration cap. You can work toward the target without a requirement to spread evaluation profits across a fixed number of sessions. Strix and Strix Pro evaluations use a 12% target and 6% drawdown. Express uses an 8% target and 4% drawdown. Passing still requires meeting the applicable target within the risk rules.[2]
TradeFundrr PreProp requires five qualifying sessions with at least $250 net realized profit each. Sessions need not be consecutive, and there is no evaluation deadline. Its current support rules also apply a $1,250 overall profit minimum and a 30% consistency requirement. A larger best session raises the required total. After promotion, traders must complete the requirements again for their first payout.[4] [6]
TradeFundrr PreProp and Prop have a $1,000 daily loss limit that pauses trading for the session, plus a $3,000 drawdown that can close the account. Its help center says the drawdown updates from the realized balance at session end and stops trailing when the threshold reaches the initial balance.[4] [5] [9]
Strix and Strix Pro floors update at the end of the day; Express updates intraday. Every Strix Options Funding floor breach is monitored in real time. The Funded floor locks at the starting balance, but the Evaluation floor does not. An end of day update is not immunity from an intraday breach.[2]
Overnight flexibility, with the right strategy permissions
Strix Options Funding permits overnight positions subject to its expiry and forced close schedule. For traders whose permitted strategy needs more than one session, that is a meaningful reason to prefer it over an intraday only program. It does not permit holding every expiring contract through settlement.[2]
TradeFundrr PreProp and Prop require manual intraday trading, a minimum hold of 15 seconds, and trading between 9:30 AM and 3:55 PM ET. No swing positions are permitted. Holidays and early closes apply.[4] [5]
Strategy permissions still determine which plan to choose. Strix and Express permit opening single leg long calls and puts only. Selling an owned long option to close is allowed. Any opening short leg, including one inside a debit spread, requires Strix Pro. Strix Pro supports buying and specified finite loss selling structures, subject to buying power, drawdown and instrument restrictions. Finite risk alone does not establish support for every strategy.[2]
TradeFundrr supports long calls and puts, spreads, iron condors, butterflies and credit positions within buying power. PreProp permits up to 10 contracts per leg; Prop permits up to 20. Current support lists options commissions of $0.30 per contract per side.[4] [5] [10]
Spread traders should also read TradeFundrr's published complex strategy policy. It flags simulated fills better than the displayed strategy midpoint, with a small price increment tolerance. Gains can be removed after a warning, while impossible prices can trigger immediate removal. Confirm the policy's effective date and applicability before trading.[8]
Evaluation flexibility does not remove payout requirements
Strix Options Funding markets an 80/20 split, but its terms define discretionary simulated performance rewards. Each cycle requires eight qualifying winning days. For a 25K account, each qualifying day requires at least $100 realized profit. A 50% withdrawal pool, payout caps, minimums and balance safeguards still apply. No minimum evaluation days does not mean no Funded qualifying days.[2] [3]
Strix Pro adds a Funded qualification: new net trading profit must reach 15% of the peak simultaneous assessed portfolio maximum loss during the cycle. This is not an evaluation target or a fee. Only a paid Strix Pro payout resets that cycle.[2]
TradeFundrr Prop advertises an 80% share of simulated profits. Eligibility requires five qualifying sessions, the overall profit target and consistency rules. Qualifying days reset after an approved payout. Requests submitted by Wednesday can be processed that Friday; delivery may take longer.[5] [6] [12]
Each request is limited to 50% of account profit or the relevant cycle cap, whichever is lower. The first three caps are $1,000 each for traders promoted through PreProp, versus $2,000 each for direct Prop. Later caps increase. Retained profits can be reduced by trading losses, and withdrawals do not lower the drawdown threshold.[5] [11] [12]
TradeFundrr also publishes a $25,000 cumulative payout maximum per trader per asset class, followed by transition to its live partner. That is not unlimited simulated earning capacity or a guarantee of a particular live allocation.[13] [8]
TradeFundrr Pro is not an evaluation fee comparison
The direct TradeFundrr Pro application offers capital based leverage with no upfront program fee. Buying power and drawdown are individually structured during onboarding, so published maximums are not promised allocations. Its capital contribution model is materially different from the Strix Options Funding evaluation purchase.[3] [14]
There is also a different route. The Options Prop FAQ says consistent performers may be invited to Pro without a personal capital contribution, with buying power assigned through performance and risk review. The Prop account closes during that transition. Do not assume this invitation route has the direct applicant's capital requirements.[5]
One material issue needs clarification before any capital commitment. Pro sales copy says traders never owe more than their contribution, while the formal risk disclosure warns that leveraged losses may exceed it. The separate desk agreement and written terms on liability, withdrawal rights and charges matter more than either headline.[14] [15]
Frequently asked questions
Why choose Strix Options Funding over TradeFundrr PreProp?
Choose Strix Options Funding if your priorities are a one time evaluation purchase without monthly evaluation renewals, permitted overnight holding subject to expiry rules, and no evaluation minimum trading days or daily profit concentration cap. For supported spreads, Strix Pro 25K costs $398 versus PreProp at $599 plus $99 monthly. Evaluation targets, drawdown and Funded payout qualifications still apply.[1] [2] [4]
Is TradeFundrr Prop a live options account?
No. Current disclosures identify PreProp and Prop as fully simulated. Direct Prop skips evaluation, not payout or risk requirements. Pro is separate and requires its own agreement.[4] [5] [15]
Does TradeFundrr PreProp charge again when I pass?
There is no additional promotion program fee. The $99 monthly subscription continues, and evaluation days do not count toward the first funded payout.[4]
Is Strix Pro the same as TradeFundrr Pro?
No. Strix Pro is a Strix Options Funding evaluation and simulated Funded plan with broader supported strategy permissions. TradeFundrr Pro is a separate professional desk with its own onboarding arrangements.[2] [3] [14]
Can I hold options overnight with either firm?
Strix Options Funding allows overnight holding subject to its expiry and forced close schedule, not unrestricted holding through settlement. TradeFundrr PreProp and Prop require intraday trading and prohibit swing positions.[2] [4] [5]
Is the TradeFundrr Prop fee refunded on my first payout?
Not for a new November 2, 2026 purchase. The current fee policy and legal terms exclude accounts bought on or after October 26, 2026.[7] [8]
Which Strix Options Funding plan should a spread trader choose?
Choose Strix Pro only if your exact structure is supported and its risk and payout rules fit your approach. Strix and Express do not permit opening short legs, even within debit spreads. Strix Pro permits specified finite loss structures, subject to restrictions, and adds the 15% Funded profit qualification alongside its other payout requirements.[2]
Our preferred choice for these trading priorities
Strix Options Funding is the best option in this comparison for traders who prioritize a one time evaluation purchase without monthly evaluation renewals, need permitted overnight holding subject to expiry rules, and want an evaluation without minimum trading days or a daily profit concentration cap. For supported spreads, Strix Pro 25K makes that case at $398, versus TradeFundrr PreProp at $599 plus $99 monthly.[1] [2] [4] [5]
This recommendation is specific to those priorities. Direct TradeFundrr Prop skips evaluation, while TradeFundrr Pro uses separate desk and capital arrangements. Neither is an equivalent evaluation purchase. Strix Options Funding's evaluation targets, drawdown rules and Funded payout qualifications remain part of the decision, including Strix Pro's additional 15% profit requirement.[2] [3] [5] [14]
Start with the Strix Options Funding rules, current plans and progression, and terms. Select Strix Pro for supported spread strategies, or review Strix and Express for single leg long options. Choose the plan that fits your strategy and obligations, not the largest account headline.[1] [2]
Trading involves risk. Simulated results do not represent live execution. Fees may be lost, advancement and rewards are not guaranteed, and a separate capital contribution program creates different financial exposure.
